Diary 1939

Sunday, Jan 1 - Celebrated last night until 6 this morning in Salt Lake.  Rode up and down main street from 11:45 until about 1 then went to Kazels apt. and played games with Del, Jack Quale, Burn and Bunney.
Sputt and I went to fast meeting in Yale Crest ward, to Massiah in the Tabernacle, and to two shows "Sweetharts" and "Boye Town."  It has been the happiest New Years Day I have ever spent.

Mon., Jan 2 - Had a wonderful waffle breakfast at C.A. Stotts.  Took Sputt to work at 1 and had to say goodbye and head for Logan.
? I hate to start school this quarter.
Wrote Sputt tonight ask her if she would write a diary of her life for me.

Tues. Jan 3 - Worked at the service station all day.  Snowed a little this afternoon.
Sure am busy with M Men work.
Uncle Abe said he was leaving for the herd Thurs. 5 and would send his car back to S.L.  He wants me to go down and get it.  I will because it will be a good chance to see Sputt.

Wed Jan. 4 - Found out how really dumb I am tonight or today.  I've made a flop of everything.  I have tried so far and just woke up to the fact today.  If it wasn't for Sputt I would leave Logan and start over.  Sputt too good for me but I love her so.
